Trimble R8 GNSS system is a multi-channel, multi-frequency GSNN receiver, antenna, and best solution for a rugged, compact GNSS system with industry-leading performance.
Trimble R8 GNSS system is a multi-channel, multi-frequency GSNN receiver, antenna, and data-link radio all in one compact unit. The R8 GNSS combines advanced receiver technology and a proven system design to provide maximum accuracy and productivity. Powered by an enhanced real-time kinematics (RTK) engine, R-Track technology in the R8 GNSS supports both next-generation and GPS L2C and L5 signals and GLONASS L1/L2 signals.
The Trimble R8 GNSS system has long set the bar for advanced GNSS surveying systems. Through advanced Trimble 360 tracking technology and a comprehensive set of communication options integrated into a flexible system design, this integrated GNSS system delivers industry-leading performance in a rugged, compact unit. For surveyors facing demanding RTK applications, the Trimble R8 is an invaluable GNSS partner.
Powerful Trimble 360 receiver technology integrated into the Trimble R8 supports signals from all existing and planned GNSS constellations and augmentation systems providing unmatched GNSS tracking performance. With this leading-edge technology, it is now possible for surveyors to expand the reach of their GNSS rovers into areas that were previously too obscured, such as under trees and in dense urban areas.
Designed with the future in mind, Trimble 360 technology is optimized to receive future planned signals as the number of available satellites continues to grow. With Trimble 360 technology, the Trimble R8 delivers business confidence with a sound GNSS investment for today and long into the future.
The Trimble R8 model 4 is your best solution for a rugged, compact GNSS system with industry-leading performance. Through an advanced Trimble 360 tracking technology and a comprehensive set of communication channels, it is now possible for surveyors to expand the reach of their GNSS rovers into areas that were previously too obscured, such as under trees and in dense urban areas.
Trimble 360 Receiver Technology:
Supports signals from all existing and planned GNSS constellations and augmentation systems. It is now possible for surveyors to expand the reach of their GNSS rovers into areas that were previously too obscured, such as under trees and in dense urban areas.
Flexible System Design:
Combines the most comprehensive feature set into an integrated and flexible system design for demanding surveying applications.
440 Channels, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou tracking…what’s not to love? And if the R10 is out of your price range, the R8-M4 is the best alternative.
Identical in appearance and similar in performance to the R8 Model 3, the Model 4 is an excellent surveying receiver that performs very well in traditionally challenging areas – enabling RTK shots around, and in some cases, under light to the medium tree canopy.
Released around 2013, the primary difference between Model 4 the Model 3 is the additional ability to track Galileo (European Union) and BeiDou (China) constellations. The additional channels not only tack more satellites, which can help when GPS and GLONASS satellites are in a bad position (PDOP), they help with faster initialization times when the signal is interrupted due to obstructions of the sky.
The R8 Model 4 is a great performer in challenging environments. R-Track with Signal Prediction™ (prelude to Xfill) offers 20 to 30 seconds of extended precision after the RTK signal has been interrupted. 440 channels offer fast initializations – which reduces downtime. Galileo and Beidou tracking can help when GPS and Glonass satellites are not enough.
